Privacy Policy - Lite Suite

Effective date: 24 October 2026 Last updated: 24 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Lite Suite collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains information when you use our Android application.

1. Who we are

Lite Suite is a work-management app (HR, projects, BOQs, site visits, lighting design tools, community, chat and calls) published by Bytes & Bulls. Privacy contact: [email protected]. The app talks to our servers at suite-backend.litelab.in over encrypted HTTPS connections.

2. Who can use the app

The app is for employees, clients and partners invited by their organisation. It is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. Information we collect

The following table details the categories of data we collect and why we collect each:

Data Why we collect it
Account details: name, email, phone number, employee ID, role, department, profile photo To create your account and show who you are to colleagues.
Attendance and location: your location when you check in or out and during site visits To record attendance and visit locations.
Face data (biometric): a face image and a numerical face template, if face attendance is enabled for you To verify who is marking attendance.
Work content: leave and travel requests, projects, BOQs, site visit reports, photos, documents and files you upload, comments and community posts To manage your organisation’s projects, operational workflows, reviews, and workplace discussions.
Messages and calls: chat messages and attachments, and audio, video and screen sharing during calls and meetings (carried over our own LiveKit servers) To provide real-time chat messaging, file sharing, voice calls, and video conferencing.
Device and notification data: device model, OS and app version, and a push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) So we can send alerts, reminders, and updates.
Technical and security logs: IP address, sign-in times, errors and crash information To keep the service secure and fix problems.

4. Permissions the app asks for, and why

To provide its core workplace features, Lite Suite requests the following Android permissions:

  • Location (precise and approximate): attendance and site visits.
  • Camera: photos, video calls, face enrolment and verification.
  • Microphone: voice and video calls and meetings.
  • Notifications: alerts for chat, approvals and calls.
  • Biometric / fingerprint / device unlock: optional app lock. The check is done by your phone’s operating system; we do not receive or store your fingerprint or device face-unlock data.
  • Bluetooth: to use wireless headsets in calls.
  • Screen capture and foreground service: screen sharing in meetings and keeping a call running.
  • Network access: to connect to our servers.

You can change permissions in your phone settings; some features will stop working if you turn them off.

5. How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide and secure the app, run HR and project workflows, send notifications, support chat and calls, prevent fraud and abuse, fix bugs and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

6. Face and biometric data

Face and biometric data is collected only if face attendance is enabled for you; it is used only to verify attendance; only authorised HR and administrators can manage it; it is stored securely and never sold or used for advertising; it is deleted within 30 days after your employment or account ends, or when you ask us to delete it. Enrolment happens only after you take part in it in the app, and you can ask your organisation or us to remove it at any time.

7. Who can see your information

Access to your information is strictly limited to the following recipients:

  • Colleagues and managers: according to the app’s roles (for example, HR and admins see attendance; managers see their team’s requests; community posts are visible to signed-in users).
  • Service providers that help us run the app: Google Firebase (push notifications) and our server hosting provider.
  • Authorities: where required by law.

We do not sell personal data.

8. Where data is stored and how it is protected

Data is stored on servers operated for us by a commercial hosting provider and transferred over HTTPS (TLS). Access is limited by role, and sensitive data is available only to authorised staff. No system is completely secure.

9. How long we keep it

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for business, employment, and legal requirements:

  • Account details: while your account is active, and up to 90 days after it is closed.
  • Attendance, leave, travel and HR records: as long as your organisation needs them for HR, payroll and legal record-keeping.
  • Face data: deleted within 30 days after employment or account ends, or on request.
  • Chat messages, files and community posts: while the account is active, or until you or an administrator deletes them.
  • Security logs: up to 12 months.

After that we delete or anonymise data unless the law requires us to keep it.

10. Your rights and choices

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent (for example face enrolment or location), and turn off notifications.

Delete your account and data

To request deletion of your account and personal data, email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account” from the email address registered in the app.

We will verify your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify users in the app or by email.
